The First Line of Defense

Primary Care Clinicians and Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer

In collaboration with the American Association of Ambulatory Care Nursing, the Kenner Family Research Fund (KFRF), alongside Entertainment to Affect Change, is expanding its national awareness efforts to highlight the critical role of ambulatory care nurses in the early detection of pancreatic cancer.

Through its ongoing First Line of Defense initiative and the 30 Stories, 30 Days campaign, this partnership brings forward the voices and experiences of nurses on the front lines—those uniquely positioned to recognize early warning signs, guide patient conversations, and influence outcomes through timely action.

Stories and educational content will be shared across digital and social platforms, with a focus on empowering nurses and care teams to elevate awareness, engage patients, and strengthen early detection efforts. Attendees of AAACN are invited to participate by sharing their perspectives, contributing short video stories, and joining the broader conversation using #30Stories30Days, #WPCC, and #WPCD.
